The ZekNeo is a sleek, credit card–sized recorder built to make note-taking a breeze. Beyond its compact design, its real strength is AI-powered recording, which generates accurate transcripts, concise summaries, and even mind maps from your audio. It’s perfect for students and professionals who would benefit from making the most out of their meetings and/or lectures.Favorite Features:Ultra-compact, MagSafe-compatible design for iPhone users like me.Clear audio from 3 MEMS microphones with noise cancellation64 GB storage and 25 hours of battery lifeOverall:The ZekNeo has completely streamlined my note-taking capabilities. It’s incredibly compact, captures clear audio, and the AI-powered transcripts and summaries save me hours from reviewing my notes every week. This is yet another excellent product to add to my list of gadgets!
I got this due to its thinness and I am pleasantly surprised how good it is for the size and price of it. It attaches to phone magentically and stays there. Audio quality is great for calls, but not music level quality. The other thing is the AI feature to get transcriptions. It's quite easy to record calls when you need with the button.
I’ve been really impressed with the ZekNeo. It’s compact, lightweight, and attaches magnetically behind my phone, making it super convenient to carry. The audio quality is excellent—clear even from across the room or during phone calls, thanks to its dual recording sensors. The best part is the built-in AI assistant, Shadow. It transcribes, summarizes, and even helps organize your notes into "mind maps." Perfect for meetings, lectures, or quick thoughts on the go. The companion app is smooth, and everything syncs easily. With 64GB of storage and 25 hours of battery life, I never worry about running out of space or power.Highly recommend if you want more than just a basic recorder—this is like having a smart assistant in your pocket.

UsabilityPersonally, I got this for taking notes during meetings, but this would be an amazing tool for a college student to take notes during class as well. With its included MagSafe case, you can attach it to the back of your phone, put your phone on your desk, click record, and truly engage with your meeting without worrying about taking notes at the same time. After the meeting is over, stop recording, and transfer the data to your phone. For a 30 min conversation, it’ll take about a minute to transfer on Bluetooth, but you can switch to fast transfer mode by connecting via Wi-Fi. That transfers a 30 min conversation in just a couple seconds. Once transferred, it’ll begin transcribing the conversation and generating the summary (which includes next action items), insights, and other reports. From there you can export any of the reports as well as the audio file. Its ability to pick up everyone speaking is great. I even experimented with having it in my pocket recording and it was able to pick up conversations with nearby people. In vibration/phone mode, it can pick up my voice as well as the callers with no issue.Form factorIncluding this in a MagSafe case was a genius move. Trying to remove the device from the case is a bit challenging, but I realized there really is no reason to ever take it out. In speaker mode, the 2 mic holes are exposed along the top. The phone vibration mode also has a mic hole pointed back towards the phone. Finally, the charging port has a cutout, making this case the perfect match.Being so thin, I was very surprised at how strong the battery life was. With about an hour of recordings over a 24-hour period, the battery life only went down maybe 15% at most.AI IntegrationIf you’re familiar with Microsoft’s copilot 360, the summary and transcript reports will be very familiar. It’s very good at accurately recording the transcript and distilling the essence of the conversation, highlighting all the main points. It’s even able suggest next actionable items. Like copilot you can ask questions and receive an AI generated answer based on the conversation. The Aha report really differentiates this from other AI tools as it provides insights you didn’t even think to ask. In my video example, I talk about making a block of cheese in the shape of a frog. Valuable insights were provided on using a firm cheese for this task, creating a preliminary sketch for planning, and selecting appropriate tools for shaping the cheese.OverallThis is a game changer for note taking. Long gone are the days where you must struggle to keep up with note taking during meetings. Whether you’re just making notes for yourself or providing a meeting summary and actionable items to colleagues, this is a perfect device.
Great little AI recorder. The battery life last for weeks and with it using a magnet ring to the back of my phone it's always there and ready when needed. If you are using it outside the case, it's super slim and lightweight.I've recorded several meetings with it and it transcribed and summarized the meetings accurately. It even recognizes individual speakers. If you tag a speaker it will even remember those tags across meetings too.Overall I'm really happy with it.It does require a subscription if you are transcribing more than 300 minutes/mo, but it comes with a nice starter pool to get you going.
I have been using this on and off for about 2 weeks now and I have been really enjoying it so far. I have been recording all the calls and meetings for my job and it has been surpassing my expectations so far. I've mainly used the conference style recording mode and it's been super useful for taking notes and blurbs from my meetings. I look forward to putting more time on the device to see what it can really do! The device is also really small and thin which makes it super portable and incredibly handy.
I love this device. It will capture, and transcribe your voice as notes. If you need to remember something from a meeting, a voice conversation or just from thought, this is what you need to do that. This is a great device that is small, and holds a lot of power in it's small form. The battery is amazing at about 25 hours, and it has storage space of 64GB. It has great quality sound. It also comes with a built in A1 that does amazing these for you that will save you so much time.
Actually perfect for meetings, speeches, talks, conferences, chats with friends on problems your having, etc. Also super compact and really high build quality. Impressed.MAIN REAL BENEFIT —> destroys memory problems and saves wasted time thinking about what you’re hearing and will forget in 10minutes. Provides the key points and allows you to draw out anything else you want from any sort of speech you’ve heard (or haven’t sometimes haha)
I’ve been using the ZekNeo for a few weeks now, and it’s made me much more effective in terms of having the notes I need from attending calls and meetings. The Shadow AI agent is fantastic with how it summarizes meetings s into accurate and concise notes notes. One of the best parts is how it generates to-do lists, ensuring that no "next step" gets missed or forgotten. The 64GB storage seems large enough to hold all of the recordings I need (up to 434 hours, as advertised), and the 25-hour battery life is more than enough to not have to worry if it will be available for the next several meetings. The small, slim size is fantastic. It easily slips into a pocket, bag, or can stick to magsafe-type magnetic compatible phones or cases. If you work in a typical corporate type job, sales, any data-heavy profession, or are a student, this is an extremely valuable tool for your arsenal that will only make you more productive. HIGHLY recommended.
I have owned many products over the years starting with their Ticwatch2 that I purchased in October, 2016. I have always found their products to be very well designed and manufactured. In fact, to make it even more impressive, developed their own operating system for the Ticwatch2 before later abandoning it in favor of the WearOS.The first thing I was struck with was just how compact this device is. It is literally the length and width of a standard credit card and slightly thinner than 3 stacked on top of each other. It comes in a very nice case...I can't tell if it's real leather or not, that's how nice it is. It comes with a charging cable that is approximately 24" in length. The charger attaches magnetically and is proprietary, you do not want to lose it. There is a cutout in the back of the case to attach the charger, the ZekNeo doesn't have to be removed from its case to charge it.Setup was a breeze. Fully charge the device, download the ZekNeo app, set up your account and connect the device to your phone.I will be the first to acknowledge the ZekNeo is capable of far more than what I ordered it for. I primarily purchased this to aid in transcribing letters and draft pleadings .The design is minimalistic, a very small display, a power button and a mode button. After holding down the power button for two seconds, the device is turned on. Another two second press powers it down.During my first use, I was coughing a bit from pollen allergies and I assumed the transcript was going to be a mess. More on this shortly. After dictating my letter, I directed the device to transcribe the recording. That was accomplished very quickly. I was pleasantly surprised to see that despite my several coughing outbursts, only one word was missed. Even more encouraging was the device was smart enough to ignore my coughs and not try to transcribe those sounds into some random words. I was impressed with the accuracy of the transcription under difficult circumstances. After I saw and read my transcript, it was time to export it. I was able to select the format I wanted it exported in, which thankfully including Word, and the process was identical on my Galaxy S25+ to emailing a photograph to someone..in this case, my secretary's email account. You can also export the transcript as a text message or PDF file. The email with attachment arrived quickly, with the transcript file properly attached as a Word document. After downloading the file, we opened it in Word without issue and was able to edit it as any other Word document.Another ZekNeo feature I find invaluable is its ability to translate into foreign languages. Historically, when I wrote to a Spanish speaking client, I would copy and paste the English document into Google Translate and then copy and paste the result back into the original document. With the ZekNeo you can select translate and then the desired language and transmit the translated document. One feature I didn't think I would use is the AI summary of my letters. I find myself referring to those summaries of what I dictated just to confirm the document is properly conveying the thoughts I had intended. has an absolute winner here. Very small, exquisitely made and feature rich...capable of greatly simplifying many of my office tasks.
I've never had one of these, so I can't say how price efficient it is, but this little guy can record a heck ton of data, especially with cloud storage being included by default. Furthermore, its ability to transcribe and translate into different languages in the same conversation is incredible, and there's even a tab for language and ideas breakdown. Super cool device, very slim, light, and portable, as it comes with a case for protection and magnetic attachment.I'll be playing around with it more, but it'll be good to have on me for general use but also for any emergencies where it'd be good to play back the conversation.
The little device I didn’t know I needed. I have been thoroughly impressed with the ZekNeo recorder! It’s small, light, easy to use and does an amazing job. I write scripts for book reviews and I have found that speaking my thoughts into this can help me organize and clarify my unfocused rambling. The mind maps it generates are completely game changing. I tried recording the same thoughts into the ZekNeo and my phone’s voice notes at the same time and the feeding the voice note into ChatGPT. I was sure I’d get the same information back. Not even close. ZekNeo did a much better job of organizing my thoughts. I haven’t had an opportunity to try the translation function but based on how well everything else works, I’m sure it’ll be great. I used it to record a 45 min department meeting with my colleagues and we were all impressed with the clarity and accuracy of the minutes it produced. It took about ten minutes to transfer, transcribe and summarize the 45 min recording that’s significantly faster than I could write minutes. It also allowed me to participate in the conversation fully without having to focus on note taking. I so impressed with this little credit card sized device and the fact that it magnetizes to the back of my phone is just the icing on the cake!
This device is ultra portable. The small recorder fits in a provided leatherette pouch that can magsafe right onto the back of an iPhone. The device itself can record phone calls or conversations outside conversations, and I found the microphone quality to be decent. The physical interface of the device comprises only one toggle switch and one button. It's very simple to use. So, if you're looking for a one-click solution, on your phone, to gather meeting insights and take notes for you, I think it is certainly worth the money. There is a required app from , and the AI and transcription features do require "credits". You are provided with a fairly generous number of credits upfront, but if you are using these features heavily, know that you might have to purchase more. Otherwise, this operates as a fairly good voice recorder that you can sync up to your phone at a later time.In my attached photos, you can see where I set it up and let it run for a full episode of the television show Family Guy, and it captured both the "A" and "B" plots pretty well and even charted them out for me.
I was looking for an AI recording device to capture my thoughts and thought I would give this one a try. I really like the ZekNeo because it is very portable and is able to stick to the back of my phone via magnet (I have a Google Pixel 9 Pro XL). You can easily keep this with you at all times for all of those moments when you want to record your thoughts without having to write anything down. It's always ready - great that you don't have to open the app in order to use it! You just press the button and start talking. The app does a great job of giving a professional summary of what was said, and I love the AHA takeaway feature where it lets you know what the strongest takeaway was. This is particularly great if you just want to organize your thoughts as it will provide you with an outline that is logically formatted (very helpful if you have random thoughts!) This is great if you don't currently pay for an AI assistant. While the plan includes 300 transcription minutes recording capacity per month, I've found this is sufficient for my use.The recorder is able to easily pick up my voice even in noisier environments. There are, however, a couple of minor downsides: it does not charge by USB-C but by a proprietary charger, and the device's case is a very tight fit and difficult to remove).Overall this is an invaluable device that is sleek, portable and is a great value for my money.
We recently started using the ZekNeo Note Pro AI Voice Recorder during team meetings and brainstorming sessions, and it’s been a helpful tool to have on hand. The setup did take us a little time to figure out, but once everything was up and running, it worked well for recording conversations. The voice recording quality is clear, which is the main feature we’ve used so far. The device itself is slim, lightweight, and has a sleek design that makes it easy to carry around or keep on the table during meetings. One thing to note from our experience is that some of the additional features (like transcription and summarizing) appear to require a subscription through the app. We haven’t explored those fully because of that, so most of our use has been focused on the recording function.Overall, if you’re mainly looking for a compact and reliable voice recorder, this works well. Just be aware that certain advanced features may involve extra costs depending on how you plan to use it.
Highlights:* Ultra-thin* Includes leather carrying case* Bluetooth, WiFi and USB file sync* Useful free App* Includes 3600 minutes of AI time per month* Up to 60 hours of built-in recording in 8GB* Long-life rechargeable battery for up to 20 hours of recording per charge* Has a status screen* Can charge and use (not for calls) when in provided carrying caseConsiderations:* Too easy to accidentally start/stop recording due to no explicit on or off button* Proprietary magnetic cable for charging and USB data transfer* Must use case to MagSafe attach to phone* Screen does not show much useful info (missing time, date, recording length, etc.)* No speaker - must transfer recordings to hear them* Difficult to remove from provided carrying caseThink of this as a very compact and capable digital tape recorder that can magnetically store on the back of your phone when in its carrying case. You can record for a long time and then add AI smarts to your recordings by transferring the recordings to a free phone app or to your computer. Why use this for the recording instead of your phone? Firstly, it can record up to 60 hours worth of audio in one or multiple files that don’t take up space on your phone’s shared and limited storage. Secondly, it can record for up to 20 hours using its own built-in rechargeable battery so your recordings don’t drain your phone’s battery. Lastly and most importantly, being completely separate from your phone, it lets you freely use your phone without interfering with your recordings…. Or not even use your phone at all and just use this recorder standalone while you concentrate on that meeting or class.Let’s start with the basics. This recorder is ultra thin and light with a small screen for basic status info, a sliding switch to choose between recording phone calls via phone vibrations or voices through the built-in microphones and a single button to start or stop the recording. Charge it up with the provided magnetic USB-A cable and your choice of USB power adapter (not included). You have to use this cable so don’t loose it!The screen’s battery status icon will indicate when it’s done charging. Download the free phone app and connect (bind) your recorder to it. While you don’t have to do this before making your first recording, the screen will still show the “I’m not bound to an app yet” screen until you do. Also, the recorder time and date-stamps your recordings but the clock isn’t set until you bind it to your app. When you’re ready to record something, set the slide the switch to either Up to record a voice call on your phone by sensing the vibrations of the phone’s speaker, or Down to record with the unit’s two noise-cancelling microphones. The unit doesn’t have to be connected (Bluetooth or Wifi) to your phone and can operate completely separately during recording. When on and not recording, the screen will only show the battery level and whether it is “bound” to a phone app. It does not show the current time or date or how much space is left for recordings, which seems like a wasted opportunity. There is no explicit power setting - the recorder goes to sleep if not being used and you tap the Record button to wake it up. If found it too easy to accidentally start or stop a recording since there is no explicit Off setting. You don’t even have to wake it up to start or stop recording - just press and hold the round button for 2 seconds to start or stop recording. When woken up, the screen will show an animation of whether it is recording a call or voices but it will not show how long it has been recording or how much time is left to record. Again, this seems like a waste of a relatively nice screen that could show so much more useful information.During recording and after a few seconds, the screen will turn off and there is no visible indication that it is still recording. Tap the round button to wake the screen back up to check the recording status. There is no way to pause or resume recording - all you can do is press and hold the round button for 2 seconds during the recording to stop recording and save the file. You can’t see the list of recordings or play any of them back on the unit itself. For that, you have to connect to the phone app or plug the unit into your computer.By the way, you can record voices while the unit is charging if you find yourself with a low battery but since the charging cable magnetically attaches to the back of the recorder, it will sit at an odd angle on a table. If you’re recording a voice call on your phone, you can’t charge it while recording since the unit won’t be able to sit flat on the back of your phone when the cable is attached. The recorder does not have a magnet so it does not attach to the back of your phone itself. Instead, it comes with a nice leather slip case that has a magnet on its back. The case even has cutouts so you can charge the recorder while still in the case and you can use all the buttons and see the s...
